Ever since I was a child, I wanted to be an ornithologist. In the early hours of the morning dew, listening to the mating calls of a pied oriole. Watching red-throated roof finches fighting with Saarland low-flying bustards for the best watering hole. Or eyeing the rare Lusatian ring-necked grouse as it performs its two-week mating act followed by suicide.
But since ornithology is still controversial in science, I studied design instead, am now a graphic designer for SONS, and am surrounded by all sorts of strange birds in the office.
